Rainbow of Thx!

Hello Stampin’ Friends,

Such a crazy week at the office. Downtown Ottawa was put under lockdown on Oct. 22, 2014 after an attack on Parliament Hill leaving one Canadian soldier and one gunman dead. With that being said our system froze with minimum of access to the internet. For those who don’t know me personally, I work for the Federal Gov’t in our Justice Department and our server is situated in Ottawa. So everything we try doing was sluggishly slow.

I have been wanted to do a rainbow card and finally found a way. I created this card awhile ago because I got tired of working on Christmas Cards and wanted to find ways to use our circle collections framelit. I just finished working on the video tutorial and it will be uploaded to my Canadian Papercraft FB page.

What a perfect time to release this card, to say thanks to those we care.

Watercolor Nutcracker

Hello Stampin’ Friends,
Remember in my last post I was playing with mixed media with the molding paste and classic reinkers. Well I am still playing only this time I was wondering what the effect would be with dazzling diamond, reinker and paste. I oohed and ahhed.
I love how the star twinkles in the background and it made a perfect stamped background.
It is much nicer in real life. Still pictures don’t do justice to the naked eyes.

This is a great masculine Christmas card as it is so fun to watch the Nutcracker’s head wobble. I have been wanting use the wobble head for the longest of time but it was too big for small projects without cutting down. Let me show how it’s made.

Partridge in a Pear Tree

Hello Stampin’ Friends,
Today I share with you a card using the Partridge & Pears stamp using the old olive blendabilities.
StampersPlus: Partridge & Pear Tree
The tree was stamped with Memento Black ink on Whisper White CS, and then colored it with our blendabilities using shades of old olive, coastal cabana, skin tones, and daffodil delight combinations.
I restamped the tree again with Memento Black ink on Whisper White CS, and then colored, cut and popped the pears and partridge’s wing with dimensionals. I cut the tree too and also popped it up with dimensionals.
More importantly, I wanted to show you the little tiny bow I created using the 1/8″ silver ribbon and a comb. See the video below on How It’s Made – The Perfect Bow.

HOW IT’s MADE

(1) 9″ x 4-1/2″ piece of Old Olive CS, scored at 4-1/2″
(1) 3-5/8″ x 3-5/8″ piece of Basic Black CS
(1) 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ piece of Whisper White CS, and remnants
