Liz's Satchel + Giveaways

Hello friends!

Still waiting patiently for my new Stampin' Up! arrivals. [sigh].

I was away this weekend with the husband and his AAA Midget team in Victoria. A lovely mother's day of relaxing, enjoying double header games and an awesome day being outside in the sunshine. Stuart holds another two more wins in his book.

While waiting for his games to start, I was daydreaming and thinking what my next 3D project would be. As I am on the role in making purses and handbags, I had an idea, and I figured out the look and shape of a satchel purse but wasn't sure how to make the opening work to hold cards inside until I was inspired by a home decor with a clasp while shopping at Save-On Foods.

Here it is ... Liz's Satchel

The opening is clasped by two magnet buttons covered with the gold foil. When you open the satchel, it can hold cards and envelopes and even a little, something, something.

The two sides have pockets to add gift cards or even 3x3 note cards.

When creating this, even with small minor adjustments, I could not believe how fast it came together. Liz's Satchel will be in production (writing and filming) next week. Release date for will be May 30, 2015.

GIVEAWAY

I am giving away the pattern and tutorial to five (5) lucky winners on this blog. For your chance, leave a comment here before 5/30/15.(The winner’s name will be randomly selected and posted on this post after the giveaway closes.) -

  5. Is it wrong to say that I am envious of your talent and creativity? What you can do with paper, punches and stamps amazes me!! I am totally head over heels for this uber chic bag!! It would be a perfect addition to our cancer fundraising event. (Each year six 'hobby' demos in Franlin County Vermont host and annual card making day to raise money for cancer and use hand created gifts for our silent auction. Our last event raised over $1000.00) Thank you for sharing your talent Liz. You are truly an inspiration!
