Therapeutic Time!

Hi Stampers,

Crazy week with the hot water tank bursting and flooding of the basement. The water fell just short of my stampin' studio. If we had not been home, I would have lost a lot of papers, and my computer would have to be renewed.

I know what I will doing soon. Getting plastic containers for all my papers and lifting the computer off the floor.

I locked myself in the studio and put everything away, and just needed some therapeutic time and stamp. No teaching, no thinking, just let the juices flow.

I love when I combine something new and something old.

The new products I received were the Balloon Celebration bundle that came with a punch and coordinating stamp set.

The old was the fox from the Hey Valentine stamp set (retired), and I colored the fox in with the blendabilities (retired as well).

I put the balloons on a wobble spring. You can click on the video below.

Just for You!

Hi Stampers,

Welcome to another card share.

This is card 2 that coincide with the mailbox you see below.

Here is the recipe for this card.

(1) 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Crumb Cake cs, and score at 4-1/2"
(1) 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" Whisper White cs and adhere to the crumb cake cs at an angle, then trim the excess off on top and on the right side.

Stamp "Just for You" in Soft Suede classic ink as well as the sprigs. Then I added crystal effect on wordings and let dry. The dots you see there, I used my soft suede marker pen to create the dots.

For the flowers, they are die cut with the botanical builder framelits die on hello honey cs. I maximized the cuts by laying down (1) 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" hello honey cs, and die cut all the flowers at once.

Each flower is then sponged with cajun craze classic ink.

Then I die cut the leaves in mossy meadow and using the mossy meadow marker pen and made leaf-like veins (you can use the coordinating stamp as well, but was too lazy to get it out). The leaves are also sponged with mossy meadow classic ink.

Shape your flowers and secure it to the base card and add pearl jewel accent on center of the flower. Then arrange the leaves by tucking under the flowers.

Sky is the Limit

Hi Stampers,

Sky is the Limit! This an amazing masculine Sale-a-bration stamp.

When I saw this stamp set I knew what I was going to do with it. Those who knows me, I love interactive cards.

I made this card so that the airplane flies across the sky with a pull-out tab.

I started stamping the clouds with white craft pad onto mint macron cardstock, and then using the a
aqua-painter to pull the ink to color the clouds. Once the craft ink dried, I cut the cardstock down to 3-7/8" x 5-1/8".

Then added a strip of DP to the left that measures 3-7/8" x 1".

The heart smoke was using a finger dauber and white craft and basically freehand draw the heart.

For the slider part, I used an exacto knife and a ruler and cut a 1/16" of a slit.

I stamped the airplane in Night of Navy ink on whisper white cardstock, and fussy cut the image. I also colored the body of the plane with real red marker. The pull tab is approximately 3-1/2" long x 1/2" wide and stamped in Night of Navy ink from the Petite Pairs "Sending a Kiss". The tab is anchored with a silver brad through the heart of the propeller.

Once the focal point is done, then it was layered onto a 4" x 5-1/4" whisper white. When you are layering the focal point, ensure that the tab is not secured down. Leave it loose.

Botanical Garden Card 1

Hi Stampers,

Oh gosh, I couldn't believe the outpour of comments from around the world in social media. Thank you all for commenting. As promised,

Here is the recipe for this card.
  1. Cut 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" whisper white thick cardstock (BTW my favourite cs for base cards), and score it at 4-1/4". Crease well and emboss the front with Softly Falling Texture embossing folder.
  2. Cut 1" x 4-1/2" english garden dp and place one end through the banner triple punch and adhere to the base card (about 1-1/4" in from the left side).
  3. Cut 2" x 4" english garden dp and place one end through the banner triple punch and adhere this piece to the base card (about 1/4" in from the left side, overlapping the 1" strip).
To build the flowers, die cut:
  • 1 large flower,
  • 2 small flowers,
  • 1 stemen,
  • 2 smaller flowers
in hello honey cs. You can die cut all the flowers all at once. I recommend using the precision plate and the magnetic platform together as your big shot platform. Sponge the edges with tangerine tango ink with your finger dauber (Tip: I like using the finger daubers as you have more control on how much to ink your flowers.)
  1. Stack the stamen/pistil to the centre of the large flower and "fluff" the stamen/pistil and petals. Add a large pearl jewel in the centre.
  2. Stack the smaller flowers to the small flowers with glue dot and add pearl jewels on centre. "Fluff" the petals.
  3. Arrange the flowers, tucking in the two small flowers behind the large flower to give dimensions.
  4. Die cut the leaves in mossy meadow cs. I also sponged my leaves in mossy meadow ink, and you can use the coordinating stamp set to stamp the leaves to give a bit of dimension. In this case, I took the mossy meadow markers, and made leaf-lines on the leaves.
  5. Tuck your leaves under the flowers with multipurpose glue, and that is it.
Be sure to come back next week for another recipe card.

This card coordinates with my 3D mailbox noted below. Here are all the tools used for this card.

I designed it so that the latch/front door opens and you can pull 3 x 3 cards out of the opening. The latch/front door is secured with a magnetic closure to the keep the mailbox closed.

I added more mail elements by using the Triple Banner Punch and coordinating designer papers. The Stampin' Up! slogan represents a parcel in the mail.

Wedding Heart Framelits

Hi Stampers,

Here is another card I designed. I blurred out the names as this is a wedding card I created. It is using the Heart Framelits die from the 2016 Occasions catalogue.

I die cut the heart using the silver glimmer paper. I also die cut the heart shape on night of navy and inlay the silver glimmer paper into the night of navy. The names were printed on vellum and cut to size and then add glue dots on each end and rhinestone jewels.

TIP: to get a clean cut on the glimmer paper, die cut the heart framelits on the non-glimmer side.

Be sure to hop back and visit me again on January 5 for a blog hop + giveaway.

Happy New Year - Heart Framelits Lace Card

December has been busy, and I am sure it goes without saying for everyone. Celebrating Christmas and New Year with families and friends.

The New Year won't slow down for me, I am gearing for another big event coming in February called the Stamp-a-licious Fun! on February 7, 2016.

You have already seen my sneak peeks for this event using all new products from Stampin' Up! of the new occasions catalogue. I had a lot of fun creating and I cannot wait to share and inspire you!

This Heart Framelits Die is so intricate and detail. It is beautiful!

I want to show you another way in using this die. When you look at the die, it looks like lace, especially when you cut it out of blushing bride glimmer paper.

Instead of using the whole heart, I cut the heart into 1" strip and adhere it to the DP. Then add the blushing bride scallop circle, 1-1/2" blushing bride glimmer circle, and then the 1-1/4" whisper white circle.

I used the pink honeycomb element and cut it into a heart shape, and dangled two glimmer hearts below.

You don't have to use glimmer sheets. I recommend using various color cardstocks!
