Celebrating Success!

Hello Friends!

This blog post is celebrating my downline success in achieving Silver level. I am so proud of her! All the hard work she has done.

To celebrate her Silver title achievement, I made this congrats card for her. I want to keep in line with the color Silver but with an added pop. Here is what I came up with last night! So awesome!

Can you see all the details? The idea came from the Lovely Words framelits die, and I wanted to see if I can do this with our Sunshine Wishes Thinlits with the die "Congrats" and the Layering Ovals. It is fussy die cutting but it is doable.

I stamped the tulips and fussy cut them, and then intertwine the leaves through the word before adding the window sheet behind it.

I decided to add some fun to this card and turned the main focal point to a shaker. I used the Silver sequins as my shaking elements and used the Jewel Rhinestone Basic for textures on the base card.

Just to make it more exciting, just an added bonus gift for her. Everything in Silver to celebrate her achievement! Way to go Helen!

Promo 1: For every $60 you spend between now to the end of July, you will receive a $6.00 spending spree that you get to spend in August. July CCDT Blog Hop - “Summer Fun”

Hello Friends!

Summer time, Summer is here, and it is time for Summer Fun! Welcome to my blog and it is time for the Creative Circle to put on their thinking caps again for some Summer Fun! Remember we hop once per month on the first Thursday of each month. Want to get updates when I post? Click on my business FB page. Each time I post, it will link to my FB business page and it will direct you to a specific post.

This month's theme is called "Summer Fun!" I actually had a hard time with this piece as I really didn't know what the outcome was. Normally designing cards come naturally for me when my mojo is turned on. With this month's hop, I want a fun interactive card and must have something to do with sun.

I decided to use the Pocket of Sunshine (143719) on page 64 and it comes with the coordinating Pocket Framelits (143750) which can be purchased as a bundle.
I decided to work with the sunglasses only and to see what I can come up with. I call this piece the "fashion statement sunglasses hut!" using the Color Theory Paper Stack (144193) on page 187. Sunglasses for all genders.

When I first stamped the sunglasses, and added the framelit to it, I realized that I wanted a different color lens. The sunglasses framelit does not cut out the lenses, so I created a file to work with my e-cutter.

If you don't have an e-cutter, simply stamp the sunglasses on different color cs, and fussy cut each of the lens out and glue the lenses on.

But wait, where is the FUN part? Take a closer look below? Now how did she do that?
As you pull the tab, behind the glasses reveals a phrase from the Flourishing Phrase (141534 (c) "I THINK it more often than I SAY it, but I just want to make sure you KNOW it."
The bottom glasses, I decided I want a reading glasses and rather than making a solid lens, I placed a clear window sheet behind the frames and popped them up with mini dimensionals.  I used the Jar of Love (141587) set and stamped on the left side with a sentiment "Life Feels Empty Without You" and on the right side "You Fill Me With Happiness".

I then die cut the word "sunshine" from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits (141489) and mounted onto the base card.

I cannot tell you how many times I rip this card apart and I wish I had more time to explain it here how this was made. Now that I have one made, it can be reduplicated again with lesser pain.

Until next time ... Click on the icon below, and check out what Lynn has for you!

You Move Me

Hello Friends!

OMG! I am totally in love with this new card I created yesterday and one of the new toys I recently received. At first glance on page 70 of the Annual Catalogue, I was not sold but I had to try. I am so glad that I bought the set, and this will be one of my keeper sets.

Click on the image below and it will take you to a short video on my FB Business Page how this hummingbird maneuvers.

This set is called the You Move Me Bundle set on page 70 of the Annual Catalogue.

Base card Crumb Cake: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" score at 4-1/4"
Focal base Crumb Cake: 5-1/4" x 4"

As this is so fun to make, I am now introducing a new line called MASS PRODUCTION Kit. What is it you ask? I am glad you asked!

I like to see my clients make multiple cards as do I, so I have decided that I will do all the fussy cutting for them as part of my customer service. That means any base cards, layer cards, items that need die cuts or punched out, it is all done for you, and it includes envelopes too! All you need is the coordinating stamps, inks, color medium and your favourite adhesive, dimensionals, etc. to create the same card (5x). 5 cards one of a kind, and it will come with additional samples that you see in the Canadian Papercraft Cards Scrapbook page.

We Love our Hosts Blog Tour!

Hello Friends!

Welcome! I am super duper excited when I got an invite to be part of the We {heart} our Hosts Blog Tour, hosted by Janet Wakeland, the remARKably Created team. What an honour!

This is a long post as it is very detailed.

This month, the We {heart} Hosts Blog Tour, demonstrators from various places are focusing on YOU with our Host Reward Stamp Sets.

My project for this blog hop, I am focusing on two host sets called "You're Delightful" and "Tranquil Tulips" on page 223 to double the fun!

The You're Delightful set is a 11 piece stamps and you can get this in Wood or Clear. (CDN$ pricing:144020 $21.00 (w) or 144023 $16.00 (c)). The Tranquil Tulips is a 22 piece photopolymer stamps (CDN$ pricing 143767 $13.00).
You are going to love these sets as I show you two different cards using the same technique called Stamping Off technique.
Stamping Off means that you stamp an image at full-strength, then stamp again without reinking the stamp, then stamp a third time if you want it even lighter. Stamping Off gives you three different shades of colors.
Card 1
1. Cut (1) 8-1/2" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White Thick cs (140272), and score at 4-1/4". This is your base card.

2. Cut (1) 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Smoky Slate cs (131202) and attach it to the base card.

3. Cut (1) 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White cs (100730). This is your focal layer. Ink the overlay tulip in Smoky Slate ink (131179). Stamping Off once onto your scratch paper, and then onto this focal piece cardstock. Repeat the same step and alternating the angle and height of the tulips. With the stems, repeat as above in step 3. Clean your stamp before moving to step 4, only if you want to keep the tulips the same.

4. Ink the base tulip stamp in Crushed Curry ink (13199) onto a scratch Whisper White cs. Ink the overlay stamp over the base tulip. This technique is called Two-Step technique (see description
here). Tip: If you are making multiple cards, stamp all the tulips on a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" Whisper White cs. Repeat this step if you would a different color. In this card, I used the Berry Burst ink (144243) as well.

I sponged the edges in the same color schemes to give it some dimensions.

5. For the stems and leaves, I used Lemon Lime Twist ink (144245) at full strength and aligning my stamps and stamping directly to the cs. Once you have steps 4 and 5 completed, using your paper snips (103579) and trim your tulips out.

6. Arrange them onto your base card. Trim if needed. I used the Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (144108) for the Berry Burst tulip.

7. Then I stamped a sentiment on remnants of Smoky Slate cs, and heat set this with Stampin' White Emboss Powder (109132).

Card 2
1. Cut (1) 8-1/2" x 5-1/4" piece of Smoky Slade cs. Follow this template as your cutting and folding guidelines but read step 2 first before cutting as I changed it slightly to fit the sentiment. I found this template on Pinterest, author unknown, and rather than revamping this it is available to the public.
2. Score as indicated in the template but score down only to 2-1/4" rather than 3-1/2". You can adjust the sizing to whatever size panel you want to make it. I made my panel to 3-1/4" wide, leaving 2-1/4" wide with the steps. This will allow me to work with the sentiment "YOU'RE THE BEST". Then mountain fold on 1", 3-1/8" and 6-3/8" score lines and valley fold on the remaining score lines.

Your base card should look like this.

3. I cut a 3-1/8" x 3-1/8" piece of Whisper White cs and stamped the "YOU'RE THE BEST" in Smoky Slate ink (131179) as I want it to be in a lighter color so that I can visually see the lines without being too noticeable.

4. I colored each of the letter with the inColor 2017-19 (144081) scheme and using the Wink of Stella Brush (141897) to color them in. The Wink of Stella Brush has a fine tip for easy of coloring. Then is placed on a 3-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece of Berry Burst cs (144243) and then glued to the base card. Here is the final image of the card.

I hope you enjoyed these two fantastic cards, and thank you so much for joining me today.

We Are Cut to be Friends

Hello Friends!

I have a lot of Stampin' Up! Friends since I joined 12 years ago and I am very happy to call them my family. I learn so much from everyone as they each of them have their own unique artistic side.

This stamp set "Crafting Forever" is such a beautiful piece and I love playing with this set.
I stamped, colored, and fussy the brushes. Instead of using the flower pot, I used the Jar of Love as my holder for my paintbrushes and watercolor the bottle blue.

I even fussy cut the scissors. Did you noticed that the image is our paper snips? This is a great card for any artist!

I hope you enjoyed this project. Do you live in Canada? Come shop with me and you will be invited to my Canadian Papercraft Cards Scrapbook. Qualifying orders are automatically added to StampersPlus VIP Members Only. This page is exclusive to all my VIPs which holds all my patterns and private step-by-step tutorials.
